Barbara Harris, 74, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at her home. She was born January 22, 1935, in Boydsville Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Jacob "Jake" Lee and Edna Alene Roofe Vaughn. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Hunter. She was united in marriage to Junior Harris on March 5, 1951, and to this union four children were born. Survivors include her husband Junior Harris of Piggott; son, Marvin Harris of London, Arkansas; three daughters, Beverly Scott and husband Alan of Piggott, Arkansas , Donna Harris and fianc Randy Poe of Piggott, Arkansas, Janice Ingram and husband Chris of Little Rock, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Thomas Harris of Fayetteville, Arkansas, James Jacob Fry of Piggott, Arkansas, Jessica Lynn Ingram of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Craig Scott and wife Crystal of Paragould, Arkansas, Kristen Scott of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Ben Scott of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; great grandchildren, Lane, Logan, and Lathan Scott; sister-in-law, Virginia Long of Piggott; and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray officiating with Bill Waterman and Jesse George assisting. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Richie Culver, Cody Culver, Walter Rau, Carey Rau, Craig Scott, and Jimmy Threat. Honorary pallbearers are Benny Fry, Rick Culver, and cousins, David Ozier, Barry Kilbreath, and Dale Grimes. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. Friday.
