Charles "Pee Wee" Colter, 71, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012, in the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He was born on March 2, 1941, in McDougal, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Richard Boone and Harriet James Colter. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Colter.
He was united in marriage to Patricia Otte on June 10, 1960, and to this union two children were born.
He attended Hitts Chapel Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Colter of Piggott, AR, one son: Richard Thomas Colter and wife Lisa of Piggott, Arkansas; one daughter: Lisa Jean Russell of Paragould, Arkansas; one brother: Donald Colter and wife Trudy of Neelyville, Missouri; three grandchildren: Charles Ervin, Daniel Pushea, and Rickie Colter; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 14, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Charles Richardson officiating. Pallbearers will be Roger McKenny, Gary Hagg, Gene Otte, Larry Otte, Robin White and Donald Box. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, May 13, 2012, at 6:00 p.m.
