Don Mobley, 86, of Pollard, Arkansas, passed away May 3, 2017, at the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
He was born on July 16, 1929, in Cave City, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Elmer and Ruthel Pinkston Mobley.
He was united in marriage to Wilma Dye for the second time on May 9, 2009, and to this union six children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Don Mobley, Jr.; sisters, Lela Arney, Bell Smith, Bonnie Owens, Dolly Johnson, and Morine Mobley.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Mobley of Pollard, Arkansas; children: Johnny Mobley and wife Sonya of Water Valley, Mississippi, Roger Mobley of Florida, Brenda Nickles of Pollard, Arkansas, Donna Underwood and husband Jim of St. Frances, Arkansas, Sandra Coulter of Pollard, Arkansas, Sharon Champin of Evansville, Indiana, and Theresa Mobley of Illinois; seven stepchildren, whom he helped raise; twenty seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Claude Mobley and wife Sandra of Bald Knob, Arkansas; sisters, Joyce Mobley of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Betty Hill of Cabot, Arkansas, and Mary Reed of Qulin, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Price leading the family in a prayer at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of arrangements.
