Dorothy Murray, 66, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009, at the Piggott Community Hospital. She was born July 2, 1943, in Hornersville, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Buster and Christine Poe. Dorothy was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Brett Gage; one brother; and three sisters. Survivors include her husband Ray Murray of Piggott; four sons, Kevin Murray and wife Johnna of Piggott, Arkansas, Bryan Murray and wife Janet of Paragould, Arkansas, Tommy Murray and wife Sharon of Piggott, Arkansas, and Tony Gage of Iowa; one brother, Edgar Allen Poe of Benton Harbor, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Tanner Murray, Logan Murray, Ethan Murray, Mindy Murray, Millie Murray, Mollie Osborn, and Ella Murray; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 3, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Kevin Murray officiating. Burial is in Pine Knot in Paragould, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Wade Murray, Kerry Murray, Allen Riggins, Johnny Dye, Jeff Hook, Wade Harris, and Jerry Massey. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
