Heloise Kelley, 84, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009, at St. Anthony Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born August 9, 1925, in Clay County, Arkansas, in the Chalk Bluff Community, and was the daughter of the late Marion and Lula Evans Irvin. At the age of 14, she was baptized at the St. Francis Baptist Church. Heloise moved to Piggott in 1943 and has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Piggott ever since. She was united in marriage to Joe F. Kelley on September 28, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1973. Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Harder and husband Larry of St. Louis, Missouri; grandson, John Michael Harder of St. Louis, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Clyde Spurgin and Kenneth Threet officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
