Obituary

Jimmie Langley, 75, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010, at his home in Piggott. He was born September 9, 1935, near St. Francis, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Otho and Pauline Bridgeforth Langley. On May 8, 1954, Jimmie married his childhood sweetheart, Carolyn Parham. Jimmie attended Star School and graduated from Piggott High School. Jimmie was a member of the Methodist Church and of the Eastern Star Lodge #207. He served in the National Guard for many years. His parents and his son, Steve Langley preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Langley; daughter, Regena Guinn and husband Verlis of Paragould, Arkansas; grandson, Joshua Bell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; great-grandson, Jason Bell; sister, Marine Hamilton of Silver Springs, Maryland; seven nieces and nephews, Richard Hamilton, Kenny Hamilton, Sean Greene, Kyle Greene, Tammy Bell, Cheryl Fisher, and Gary Millikin; and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 28, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Rev. John Sandine officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Sean Greene, Kyle Greene, Robert Fisher, Ryan Fisher, Josh Bell, and Verlis Guinn. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
