Louise Smith, formerly of Piggott, died December 12, 2016 at Heritage Living Center in Conway at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Alfred Smith, and son-in-law, Bill Hogue. She was born to Luther and Della Club Glasgow on November 21, 1923. She was also preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Ida Glasgow; brothers Ezra Glasgow, Foy Mosley, Elbert Glasgow, Donald Glasgow, Bill Glasgow, Jim Glasgow and Bobby Glasgow; and sisters Virginia Haywood, Geneva Walker, Gladys Mobley, Juanita Cunningham, Eulalia Haywood and Elizabeth Simmons; and three brothers-in-law, Roy Smith, Lee Haley and James Cantrell. She was the last surviving member of the Glasgow family. She is survived by daughters Sharon Hogue of Hot Springs Village, Donna Seal (Jim) of Conway, and a special niece that she called her third daughter Jean (Larry) Colvin of Maumelle. She has five grandchildren, Tim Hogue of New York, Troy Hogue (Shelly) of Arkadelphia, Kelli Hogue of Sherwood, Kyle Seal (Ashley) of Conway, and Emily McCarron (Sean) of Conway. She has five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Her husband's family was always very special to her. Those survivors are Lois Smith of Lamesa, Texas, Dean Haley of Festus, Missouri, Jim Smith (Frances) of Midland, Texas, and Faye Cantrell of Arlington, Texas. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were very loving and devoted. She lived all of her life in Piggott until moving to Conway with her family seven years ago. She made sure everyone in Conway knew about Piggott. She also wanted everyone to know she was a lifelong Presbyterian. She loved her community, her family, her church and her Savior. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. Her grandson, Dr. Kyle Seal, officiated. Pallbearers are Troy Hogue, Jeffery Conley, Sean McCarron, James Patrick McCarron, Don Featherston, and Larry Colvin. Visitation is Wednesday December 14, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
