Obituary

Patsy Lee Taylor McCoy, 67, of Greene County, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at her home. She was born on October 8, 1948, in Nimmons, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late James F. and Lucille Barrett Taylor. She was united in marriage to John D. McCoy on July 16, 1966, and to this union two children, John and Lisa, were born. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Burley Taylor and brother, James Edward Taylor. Survivors include her husband, John D. McCoy of Greene County, Arkansas; son, John McCoy and wife Amy Leigh of Texarkana, Arkansas; daughter, Lisa McCoy of Waterford, Michigan; grandchildren: Taylor and Will McCoy of Texarkana, Arkansas; brothers, Chuck Taylor and wife Lesia of Lafe, Arkansas, and Gary Taylor and wife Linda of McMinnville, Tennessee; sister, Betty Capps and husband Joel of Corbin, Kentucky; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Providence Missionary Baptist Church near Marmaduke, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be held at Crescent Hills Cemetery in Waterford, Michigan, at a later date. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society specified for Pancreatic Research.
