Albert Ray Cowgill of Piggott, Arkansas, the son of Cleadis and Gertrude Pickens Cowgill, passed away October 26, 2013, in Piggott, Arkansas, at the age of 81. He was born on November 27, 1931, in Clay County, Arkansas. He was united in marriage to Linda Busse and to this union five children were born. He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony; parents, Cleadis and Gertrude Cowgill; siblings, A.C. Cowgill, Bobby Denmark, and Linford Cowgill. Survivors include Evelyn Connell (Lucius) of Florida, Cindy Sehl of Piggott, Arkansas, Teresa Burr (Billy) of Piggott, Arkansas, Albert Ray Cowgill, Jr. (Pamela) of Piggott, Arkansas; sister, Kathy Owens (Sherrell) of Rector, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Michael Calhoun and Jay Masterson officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Lee, Brandon, Chris, Ronald, Kevin, and Michael. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
