Albert Lee Hess Jr., 63, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away May 12, 2020. He was born on June 30, 1956, in Watervliet, Michigan, and was the son of Albert and Augusta (Eveland) Hess, and Norma Jean (Jones) Persful. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Harlene Barnett. Albert was a free-spirit. His hobbies included mushroom hunting, hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved his kids and grandkids so much and loved spending time with his family. He was very easy going and loved nothing but peace. Survivors include his son, Rick (Kari) Howie, II; daughter, Risa (Matthew) Howard of Elkhart, Indiana; daughter, Kara Amanda Howie all of Elkhart, Indiana; grandchildren, Kayleena Howie, Alonna Howard, Gavin Howard, Ethan Howard, Jaiden Howard, Amelia Howard, and Alaiya Howard all of Elkhart, Indiana; sisters, Tammy Looney of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Regina Wright of Bourbon, Indiana; brother, Jackie Porter of Hamilton, Indiana; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating.
