Andrew "Andy" Lawrence Mack, 82, of Campbell, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was born December 17, 1927, in St. Louis, Missouri, and was the son of the late Andrew and Nora McDough Mack.
He was united in marriage to Earline Sheppard on November 12, 1968. She preceded him in death on August 25, 1999.
Andy was a Korean War Veteran and was also a retired Granite City Steele Mill worker in Granite City, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and playing the lottery and the cherry master machine, before his health declined.
He also enjoyed spending time with his best friends, Amy Shore and Donna Dickens, who were his homemakers.
Survivors include his five sons, Kenneth L. Mack and Mary of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Kevin Mack and Juanita of Campbell, Missouri, George Reece of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Terry Taylor of Arkansas, and Steve Taylor of Evening Shade, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two sisters, Alberta Walters and Kaye Hoffman of New Jersey; brother, Frances Wantalock of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 26, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas, with Robbie Hale officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will begin 9:00 a.m. Friday.
