Anna Lee Nichols, 85, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born on November 15, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Joe and Ethel Mae George Rodery.
She was united in marriage to Joseph Nichols, Jr. on November 20, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Floyd, Lavern, and Wayne; and two sisters: Rachel and Ruth.
Survivors include her son, Gary Nichols and wife Marilyn of Piggott, Arkansas; daughter, Gayla Donner and husband David of Piggott, Arkansas; two grandsons: Brad Riddle of St. Francis, Arkansas, and Rob Nichols and Christy of Dexter, Missouri; one granddaughter, Erica Harris and Wade of Piggott, Arkansas; six great grandchildren: Nicholas and Cooper Harris, Caleb Riddle, and Cole, Kate, and Kyle Nichols; two brothers: Carlos Rodery of Pinckney, Michigan, and Hillard Rodery of South Lyon, Michigan; brother-in-law, Jimmy Nichols of Piggott, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Laurene Skidmore of Beebe, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Andy Newbill officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers Ricky Haywood, Kirk Nichols, Jimmy Nichols, Rex Smart, Keith Woolverton, and Max Poole. Honorary pallbearers are Erica Harris, Brad Riddle, Rob Nichols, Jack Crittenden, and Darrell Hankins. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
