Arthur 'Ott' Loyd, 96, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012, at the General Baptist Nursing Center of Piggott. He was born on September 17, 1916, and was the son of the late Riley Bell and Geneva Cordelia Gray Loyd. He was united in marriage to Louise Andrew on September 20, 1952. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2005. Arthur was a longtime member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Piggott, Arkansas, the Northeast Arkansas Rod and Gun Club, and was retired from the City of Piggott Electric Department after many years of service. Survivors include his children: Annette Hill of Piggott, Arkansas, Diane Block and husband Bob of Rolla, Missouri, Arthur Loyd, Jr. and wife Monica of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and Lisa May Loyd of Paragould, Arkansas; grandchildren: David Hill, James Dale, Cindy Brooksher, Bob Block, Jr., Anna Drake and husband Derrick, and Elizabeth Loyd; great-grandchildren: Lacy Hill, David Hill, Jr. Dallas Dale, Logan Dale, and Owen Smith; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Danny Self officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Bob Block, Sr., David Hill, James Dale, Bob Block, Jr., Dewey Holcomb, and Steve Dover.
