Avis Franklin "Frankie" Faulk Jr., 68, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away June 7, 2021, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. He was born on June 13, 1952, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Avis Franklin Faulk Sr. and Cleda Lea (Blocker) Faulk. Frankie started working at the young age of 8 on the family farm. He farmed alongside his father for many years. Those who knew Frankie, would tell you he was a momma's boy. He loved and cared for his mother and always wanted to give her the best. He had a giving heart and would help anyone in need. Frankie served in 82nd Airborne Division in the United States Army as a Paratrooper. He was honored to serve his country and continued to be patriotic the rest of his life. He enjoyed watching war movies and was a history buff and especially enjoyed WWII history. Frankie also loved classic cars and owned several of his own, which he enjoyed taking on day trips. Frankie also had a gun hobby that turned into a business of selling guns and ammo. He also enjoyed racing cruiser car at the Malden Speedway with Gary Dunlap. His many hobbies and businesses brought him many close friends, who became like family to Frankie, including several young men he mentored over the years including, Brock Russell and Brad Riddle. It was at Frankie's shop where men would gather together and spend many hours "talking shop." He was preceded in death by his father, Avis Franklin Faulk, Sr.; mother, Cleda Lea Faulk; and stepmother, Phyllis Faulk. Survivors include his longtime companion and soulmate, Teresa Morris and her son, whom Frank was a father figure, Caleb Morris and wife Lindsey of Cabot, Arkansas and their two children, Riley and Kyleigh; his children, Felicia Faulk of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Brian Snyder and wife Jenny of Piggott, Arkansas, and Brittinee Dunn and husband Keith of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandchildren, Cody Westbrook of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Alyssa Dunn of St. Petersburg, Florida; stepbrothers, Jim Rogers and wife Debbie of Romance, Arkansas, and Phillip Wagster and wife Carla of St. Francis, Arkansas; stepsister, Vanessa Burkhart and husband Junior of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; aunts, Belinda Graddy and Sue Watson; his longtime friend, who helped him through his recent illness, Fred Ort; special "mother-in-law," Jan Lea Mann; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 11, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the South Thornton Church of Christ in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Jerry Morgan officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Brad Riddle, Caleb Morris, Brock Russell, Scott Allman, Greg Sheldon, and Jim Mann. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the South Thornton Church of Christ.
