Barbara June Wheeler, 72, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010, at the Piggott Community Hospital.
She was born November 21, 1938, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Loreties Busby Lang.
She was united in marriage to Marshall Wheeler on January 23, 1959, and to this union two daughters were born.
She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, and attended until her health prevented her from attending.
She is survived by her husband, Marshall; two daughters, Tracy Cole and husband Joe of Memphis, Tennessee, and Amy Rucker and husband James of Little Rock, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Lindsay Rucker of Little Rock, Arkansas; three sisters, Maxine Phillips, Geraldene Evans and Arlene Poole all of Piggott, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 13, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Methodist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with John Sandine officiating. Burial will be in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Featherston, David Gregory, Terry Phillips, Jerry Phillips, Gary Phillips and Pharis Edwards. Leland Gibson will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
