Berneda Dees, 95, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away January 31, 2019, at Magnolia Manor in Piggott, Arkansas. She was born on July 30, 1923, and was the daughter of Herbert and Neatie (Edwards) Haywood. She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert E. Haywood, mother, Neatie Haywood, husband, Lawrence Dees, brothers, Vernon Haywood, Doyne Haywood, and Larry Haywood, sisters, June Thompson, Lorene Staples, Thelma Moreland, Betty Perry, Almerita Haywood, and Bonnie Perry. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Taylor of San Diego, California, Cheryl Hoppe and husband Dennis Hoppe of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; son, Byron Dees of Rodchester Hill, Michigan; grandchildren, Anthony Randolph, Scott Randolph and wife Mary, Chantelle Randolph, Angela Taylor, Kevin Hoppe and wife Kim, Melissa Hoppe, and Dana Dees, great-grandchildren, Austin, Lucas, Veronica, Nichole, Issabella, Blake, Benjamin, Nellie, Maggie, Daniel Lawrence, and Wyatt; one great-great grandchildren, MaKayla; brothers, Jimmy Haywood, Jackie Haywood, and Leroy Haywood; sister, Roselie Lillyroot; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 4, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Jerry Morgan officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
