In Loving Memory of Bessie "Brandy" Wallace
Bessie "Brandy" Wallace, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home on October 2, 2026, with family by her side. Born on October 30, 1944, in Laramie, Wyoming, Bessie was one of the cherished daughters of Charles and Flossie Presley. Her journey through life was marked by creativity, love, and laughter, leaving a mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Bessie was preceded by her devoted husband, Troy Wallace, whom she married on January 8, 2002, in Piggott, Arkansas. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, travels, and adventures. Bessie and Troy found joy in country music and cherished their trips to Branson, Missouri, where they made many fond memories.
A woman of many talents, Bessie had a love of the arts, creating beautiful paintings and pencil sketches that captured the essence of her subjects. Her love for poetry and songwriting was matched only by her singing voice, which she shared with those she loved, especially with her little buddy Brynlee aka her "baby girl". Whether dancing in her chair or crafting personalized cards with thoughtful sayings for those that she loved, Bessie found joy in bringing happiness to others. She loved tending to and spending time in her garden making it look beautiful with her green thumb.
Known for her warm smile and playful spirit, Bessie was a prankster at heart, always ready with a joke to brighten someone's day. Her humor, sass, strength, and work ethic were qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a beacon of joy and resilience.
Bessie is survived by her loving children: Kevin and Bridget Darga, Lenny Wallace, Marty Wallace, Trena (Jim) Buckner, Terry Wallace, and Gary Wallace. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Brynlee Darga, Emma Coaltrain, and Lexi Wallace, and Great-grandchildren, Asher and Malakai. She also leaves behind her dear siblings, Bonnie McDonald, Lela Ingersoll, and Sue Presley, who will cherish her memory always.
A woman of faith, Bessie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors, therapists, and care team who provided Bessie with compassion and love during her final days.
A celebration of Bessie's life will be held on October 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas.
