Betty Jean Holland, 89, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away October 2, 2020, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
She was born on January 10, 1931, in Marmaduke, Arkansas and was the daughter of Ezra Dee and Helen Craig Crouch.
Betty was united in marriage to Gene Wallace Holland on December 23, 1950.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gene Wallace Holland.
Betty was a member of Church of Christ. She was a very avid reader and loved gardening. She was a very devoted caregiver of her husband.
Survivors include her son, Tim Holland and wife Debbie of Piggott, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Lindsey Nemitz, Carolyn Speer, and Scott Moore; three great-grandchildren, Naomi Nemitz, Brayden Moore, and Alexis Moore; nieces, Holly Lagasse and Diana Mason; and many other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott for the excellent care they showed for Betty.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. with service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Dustin Semore and Jeremy Pierce officiating. Burial is in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery in Marmaduke, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Monty Sanders, David Gregory, Scott Durham, Brent Coomer, Kent Coomer, and Jerry Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Eason, Don Garner, Bob Tidwell, Larry Holcomb, and Gaylon Coomer. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorials to the Piggott Public Library, 361 W Main St, Piggott, Arkansas, 72454
