Betty Lou Thompson, 83, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away December 10, 2022, with her family by her side.

She was born on April 14, 1939, in Clay County, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Charles and Blanche (Tanner) Greer.

Betty was united in marriage to Bill Thompson on November 28, 1955.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Thompson; and son, Gary Thompson.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Regina Gail (Brian) Conklin; two sons, Richard (Beverly) Thompson, Whitney (Sandra) Thompson; twelve grandchildren, Sarah Rotter, Brittney Medlin, Rachel Keller, Nicholas Shafer, Lauren Shafer, Kate Conklin, Gabrielle Conklin, Kyle Thompson, Sierra Stilts, AJ Holland, Chelsea Hernandez, Chris Thompson; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas, with Brian Conklin and Melanie Stillings officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee in honor of Betty.
