Billie Wayne Davis, 82, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away January 29, 2019, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on December 29, 1936, in Pollard, Arkansas and was the son of William "Pete" Calvin and Mildred Rosalie (Easterwood) Davis. Billie was united in marriage to Rosa Lee Hayes on June 7, 1959. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Pete" Calvin Davis, mother, Mildred Rosalie Davis, wife, Rosa Lee Davis; and brother, Joe Davis. Survivors include his children, Dennis (Gayla) Davis, Lisa (Randy) Mikel, Julie Davis and Bradley (Melinda) Dunlap all of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kitty Beakley (Heath) Hatcher, Joseph (Ashlee) Davis, Jacob (Leandra) Davis, Jeffrey (Brianna) Davis, Morgan Mikel, Taylor Davis, Tucker Dunlap, and Houston Dunlap, great-grandchildren, Walker Johnson, Riley Hatcher, Jazzlyn Davis, Aubrie Davis, Drew Hatcher, Emily Davis, and Harlee Davis; sister, Joyce Criswell of Milan, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Kevin Murray officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Joseph Davis, Jacob Davis, Jeffrey Davis, John Morris, Dillon Conyers, and Billy Ray Mikel. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Scheffler, Harold Dunlap, Gary Dunlap, Luke Palmer, Randy Mikel, Bill Cooper, Don Featherston, James Featherston, Gary Mann, Larry Holcomb, Jimmy Criswell, Jerry Criswell, Lloyd Davis, Tony Pace, Sam Jones, and Ivan Reed. The family would like to honor these pallbearers who have preceded Billie in death: James Morris, Arnold Elliott, Chad Dunlap, and J.B. Featherston Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Thursday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas.
