Billie Lee Lack
Billie Lee (Clemons) Lack, 86 passed on May 29, 2024. Billie was born on Monday, June 7, 1937, in Piggott, AR. Billie was the second of five born to Elmer and Maggie Lee (Howard) Clemons. Raised in Greenway, AR, she was graduated from Greenway High School in 1955. And she was a member of the St Francis First Baptist Church.
Married 60 years to David Cecil Lack, they were wed in Greenway, AR by Baptist Pastor Valley P. Wright.
A live long resident of the Piggott area, Billie was a member of the Ladies Quilting Auxiliary, quilting every Tuesday. She was a volunteer of the Annual St Francis Picnic, making chicken and dumplings for the kitchen meal and in the last few years assisted by two of her grandsons, Ethan and Noah Smith. She also donated a quilt each year that was always a huge money-making item for the live auction. Billie was a factory worker for Brown Shoe, Wise and Ariel Boutique. Her hobbies were, quilting, reading western novels and watching western movies.
Billie was proceeded in death by two sons, Dennis and Myrl; and two sisters, Mary Ann and Dorthy, and her husband David.
She is survived by her children, David (Debbie) of Popular Blu^, MO; Kathy (Gary) Britt of Fairfield Glade, TN; Bobby of Piggott, AR and Jackie (Wayne) Smith of St Francis, AR. Two brothers; John Clemons of Jonesboro, AR and Charles (Jane) Clemons of Kenosha, WI; a sister-in-law, Pat (Danny) Self of Piggott, AR and 11 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
A private family service is planned later with interment at Gravel Hill Cemetery in St Francis, AR.
