Bobbie Joe Russell, 85, of Piggott, Arkansas formerly of Saint Francis, Arkansas, passed away September 19, 2021, with her daughter by her side at her daughter's house in Crockett, Arkansas. She was born on June 18, 1936, in Tupelo, Mississippi, and was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Mary Etta (Ramsey) Blagg. Bobbie was united in marriage to Harley Russell on July 3, 1956. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Blagg; brother, Kenneth Blagg; four sisters, LaRue Russell, Edith Britt, Laura Moore, and Joan Strnad. Bobbie was a very devoted wife, mother, and nana. She loved big family gatherings, taking grandkids fishing when she still was able, and going to church every time the doors were open. She had a passion for helping others. She loved God above all else. She was a faithful member of St. Francis Baptist Church until her health failed. She was a very loving soul with a big heart. She was deeply loved by so many and will be sorely missed. Bobbie is survived by her two daughters, Debra Gardner and husband Johnny of Crockett, Arkansas, and Tammie Causey of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Bill Russell of St. Francis, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Justin Hooten and wife April of Campbell, Missouri, Ashley Midkiff and husband Aaron of Crockett, Arkansas, Brock Russell and wife Fallon of Piggott, Arkansas, Zac Russell of St. Francis, Arkansas, Barrett Russell of Piggott, Arkansas, Dillon Causey and wife Cassie of Knoxville, Illinois, and Cory Causey and wife Shannon of Piggott, Arkansas; twelve great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Hooten, Cody Hooten, Emma Grace Hooten, Harleigh Hooten, Levi Midkiff, Alexis Russell, Alyssa Russell, Mack Russell, Lilly Causey, Luke Causey, Nicholas Causey, and Kamren Causey; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Stephen Watkins officiating. Burial is in Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Justin Hooten, Brock Russell, Zac Russell, Barrett Russell, Aaron Midkiff, and Cory Causey. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
