Bobby Joe Spinks, 81, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away July 4, 2022, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was born on January 28, 1941, in Corning, Arkansas, and was the son of Joseph and Beulah (Johns) Spinks.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Spinks; mother, Beulah Spinks; four brothers, Houston Spinks, Bud Spinks, Doyce "Tad" Spinks, and Doyle "Jinkers" Spinks; sister, Georgia Stevens; and special friend, Doris Erwin.
Bobby served in the United State Army and was honorably discharged in 1965. He worked for many years as a Tool and Die Maker. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed gardening.
Bobby is survived by his three daughters, Theresa (Rodney) Besserman of Piggott, Arkansas, Lisa (James) Howell of Piggott, Arkansas, Melanie (Terry) Steele of Paragould, Arkansas; son, Bobby Joe "Joey" (Tracy) Spinks of Piggott, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Sarah Pfiefer, Amanda (Matt) Culver, Joseph Daniel Spinks, Elizabeth Spinks, Keasha (Daniel) Chandler, William Holifield, Collin Steele, Aaron Ross Steele, Mila Steele, and Mason Steele; great grandchildren: Abbie Pfiefer, Chazten Pfiefer, Autumn Pfiefer, Josie Featherston, and Jasper Culver; and many other relatives and friends including Nikki Dawn Lacy whom he considered as a daughter. The family also appreciates the care given by Debbie Beaver.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Tim McCluskey officiating and Mike Akers assisting. Burial is in Mars Hill Cemetery in Rector, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Collin Steele, Ross Steele, Daniel Spinks, Daniel Chandler, William Holifield, and Brent Spinks. Honorary pallbearers will be Carolyn Kurosu, Jimmy Kay Cremer, Travis Baker, Bill Baker, Bud Johns and Spencer Permenter. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas.
