Bro. Sam Book, 63, of St. Francis, Arkansas, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 31, 1948, in Pollard, Arkansas, and was the son of Accidee 'Dee' Book and Virginia (Dudley) Book Crews. He was united in marriage to Dian Carman on March 8, 1968, and to this union two sons were born. He was preceded in death by his father, Dee Book. Sam became an ordained minister in 1975. He pastored several churches over the years including Rieves General Baptist Church, Morris Chapel General Baptist Church in McDougal, Arkansas, Stanfield General Baptist Church in Gideon, Missouri, Elk General Baptist Church in Brosely, Missouri, Bernie General Baptist Church, Illinois Avenue General Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri, South Canaan General Baptist Church in Gibson, Missouri, and White Oak General Baptist Church in Rector, Arkansas. Sam has been the pastor at Trailer's Chapel General Baptist Church in Pollard, Arkansas, since 2007. Survivors include his wife, Dian Book of the home; sons, Patrick Book and wife Ashley and Andee Book; mother, Virginia Book Crews of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren: Denver Book, Dixie Book, Clayton Coleman, and Logan Coleman all of St. Francis, Arkansas; sister, Deanna Dismukes and husband Raymond of Pollard, Arkansas; mother-in-law, Louise Carman of St. Francis, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be the members of the Christian Motorcycle Association.
