Carl F. Beck, Jr., of Rector, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born on December 9, 1938, in Risco, Missouri, and was the son of the late Carl and Beatrice Morris Beck. He was united in marriage to Shirley Owens on December 9, 1957, and to this union seven children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bradley Beck; two brothers, Wesley Beck and Steve Maulden; and a sister, Daunita Maulden. Survivors include his wife Shirley Beck; three sons, Bryan Beck, Roger Beck, and Randy Beck; three daughters, Carla Calvin, Christy Smith, and Tammy Beck; twelve grandchildren: Jarod, Jonathon, Bryan Lee, Lora, Brittney, Justin, Justice, Jazmin, Jaqueline, Gabriona, Ava, and Caleb; three step-grandchildren, Melinda, Mark and Mary; two great grandchildren, Allie and Leah; brother, Charles Beck; seven sisters: Bonnie Rainey, Faye Henley, Charlene Schlunder, Diane Thompson, Anna Kay Williamson, Paula Daily, and Carlotta Morrison; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Don Evans officiating. Burial is in Nimmons Cemetery in Nimmons, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Leroy Owens, Darren Burdin, Sonny Potts, Don Caldwell, Travis Johnson, and Gary Redman. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Lovins, Steve Champ, and Perry Deshotel.
