Carol Ann Cantu, 54, of Rector, Arkansas, passed away August 22, 2023, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was born on May 10, 1969, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and was the daughter of Ronnie Gunnels and Sharon (Holifield) Wright.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Gunnels and stepfather, Louis Eldon Wright.

Carol is survived by her mother, Sharon Wright of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; fiancé, Rick Faught of Rector, Arkansas; son, Ronnie Cantu and his dad, Fidencio Cantu of Rector, Arkansas; sister, LaTonya Schreck and husband Steve of Harrisburg, Arkansas; nephew, Shane Eslahi and wife Rhiannon of Boca Raton, Florida; aunt, Carolyn Edwards and husband Deloyd of Pollard, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Frank Burgess officiating. Burial is in Cummins Chapel Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas.
