Charlene (Tankersley) Lightfoot, 79, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away June 5, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 14, 1941, in Shirley, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Luther and Lottie Mary (Carroll) Tankersley.
Charlene was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Lightfoot on April 1, 1957, and to this union two children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sibling; sisters, Maxine Edwards, Louise Lack, Marcel Bledsoe, and Jeanetta Whorton; brother, Raymond Tankersley.
Charlene was a godly women who was always willing to help anyone. She devoted her life to her family especially her grandchildren who were her number one priority. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening and shopping at JcPenny.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Sue Hall and husband John Robert Hall, Jr. of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Danny Gene Lightfoot of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren: Joshua Hall (Brittani) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Zachary Stewart of Wilmington, Illinois, Blake Stewart (Jenny Pirbyl) of Yorkville, Illinois, Ivan Lightfoot of Yorkville, Illinois, Jedidiah Lightfoot of Yorkville, Illinois, Toby Hall of Illinois, and Cory Hall of California; five great-grandchildren: Benjamin Stewart, Xander Stewart, Mace Hall, Arkyn Hall, Alaina Stewart; sisters, Thelma Singleton (Linnie) of Campbell, Missouri, Geraldine Steward of Piggott, Arkansas; brother, Harold Tankersley (Rita) of Campbell, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Matthew Collier officiating. Burial is in Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Missouri. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
