Charles Ray Divine, 79, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away June 20, 2017, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Piggott, Arkansas.
He was born on November 6, 1937, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and was the son of the late Raymond and Veda Thurston Divine.
He was united in marriage to Barbara Permenter on November 23, 1979.
He was a longtime member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell, Missouri. Charles was a carpenter and enjoyed woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill Divine; stepson: Ronald Kellems, Jr.; two grandsons: Kyle Divine and Donny Rommel.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Divine of Piggott, Arkansas; children: Curtis Divine and wife Debbie of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Janna Aden and husband Bobby of Oxley, Missouri, and Kim Clanahan and husband Mike of St. Louis, Missouri; two stepdaughters: Carol Rommel and husband Kenny of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Beverly Kennon and husband Kenny of Doniphan, Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Smith of Georgia; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 23, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Tony Woods officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
