Charles Frederick 'Chuck' Hayden passed away Feb 14, 2023, at Addington Place Of Shoal Creek Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 91. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb 25 at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow at Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, Arkansas.

Chuck was born July 24, 1931 to Amilia and William Hayden. After Chuck graduated high school in Piggott he went to Arkansas Tech University and tried out and received a full ride scholarship playing football.

During his first year of college, 1950, Chuck was drafted into the Army National Guard Medical Division. Chuck also played football for the Army while stationed in Germany.

After returning Chuck completed his degree and graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1956 with a Bachelors of Science degree. Chuck had a great love for history and received his Master of Liberal Arts from Southern Methodist University in 1979.

Chuck worked in management and retired from the Ford Motor Company Claycomo, Missouri, plant after almost 30 years. Chuck had a love for the outdoors, fishing, painting, gardening, long walks and time with his grandchildren.

Chuck was preceded in death by his brother Clayton and sister Mary along with sons Peter and Mark Hayden.

Chuck is survived by his son Andrew (Teresa) and his three grandchildren Joshua, Michael and Anna Hayden all residing in Kansas City.
