Obituary

Charles Frankie Turner was born on October 26, 1945 at his home in Carryville, Arkansas. The small white house would never be the same as four brothers and five sisters welcomed the newest member to the family. Frankie, as everyone called him, was always scuffling with his brother Darrel and making everyone laugh. He was 16 when his dad passed away. Floyd Rodery, a neighbor, took him under his wing, mentoring him to become a farm worker to provide for his mother. He was drafted into the Army in 1969 and served in Vietnam. Upon returning from war, he knew he would need a good job. He applied at Federal Mogul in Malden, Missouri and worked there for 38 years, until it closed in 2005. In 1971 he was joined in marriage to TeJuana Crowson. The marriage produced two children Valerie and Ashley. He loved his children very much and did as many activities with them as he could, but it was his two grandchildren Michael and Joseph, who were his real pride and joy. Frankie enjoyed his friends and family. He was always making jokes and cooking. He was happiest when he had a house full to feed and the kids to play with. He was preceded in death by his granddad Jimmy Grissom, parents Charlie and Ozzie Grissom Turner, two brothers, Darrel Turner and Jimmy Turner; and two sisters, Faye McGee and Lillian Wood. He lives behind wife of 46 years TeJuana of Piggott; daughter Valerie Turner of Clarendon, AR; daughter Ashley Haywood and husband Andy of Paragould and two grandchildren Michael and Joseph Haywood; sisters Juanita Haley and Jean Moore of Piggott, Charlene Allen of Rector and Dora Lee Sample and husband David of Victorville, California; brother Aldion Turner of Piggott; brother-in-law Ronald Crowson and Royce of Tyler, Texas; sister-in-laws Beverly Rice and husband Bob of Westport, New York and Jo Nell Sale of Piggott. Pallbearers are his nephews and include: Trae Sale, Greg Moore, Mick Puckett, Gary Neal Turner, Vance Turner, Jeff Turner, and Stewart Turner.
