Charles Marion Ward, 90, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away May 9, 2019, in Heber Springs.
He was born on June 7, 1928, in Clay County, Arkansas, and was the son of Charlie and Hazel (Totten) Ward.
He was united in marriage to Ethellea Gregory Ward on September 15, 1948.
Charles earned his doctorate and was an Educator for many years serving as a Teacher, Vice Principal, and Assistant Superintendent during his career.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Ward; mother, Hazel Ward; wife, Ethellea Ward; his grandson, Billy Ward; five sisters, Opal Hounihan, Rita Foster, Dot Pipkins, Viola Jones, and Anita Beveridge; two brothers, Bill Ward and Bob Ward.
Survivors include his sons, Charles Ward, Jr. of Drasco, Arkansas, Michael Brent Ward and wife Carla of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Jerry Kent Ward and wife Denise of Escondido, California; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Sam Ward and wife Mary of Malden, Missouri; sister, Sandra Davis and husband Larry of Paragould, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 13, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Jerry Morgan officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
