Charles R. Wright, 67, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010, in the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. He was born September 19, 1942, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Raymond Andrew and Sylvia Virginia Hughes Wright. He was united in marriage to Elaine Davidson on December 20, 1959, and to this union two children were born. Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church of Piggott, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Sylvia Wright, and one sister, Shirley Schoettlin. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Wright of Piggott, Arkansas; two children, Kenny Wright and wife Sarah of Hoxie, Arkansas, and Angela Wright of Memphis, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Dustin Blackshear and wife Whitney and Sabrina Buys and husband Brock; one great grandson, Cameron Buys; two brothers, James Wright and wife Betty of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Johnny Wright of Paragould, Arkansas; three sisters, Lottie Gookin and husband Bill of Piggott, Arkansas, Mary Clark of Oak Grove, Missouri, and Martha Powers and husband Keith of Brighton, Tennessee; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 21, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Rob Welborn officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Ed McFarlin, Bob Shanklin, Charles Hinkle, Ron Baker, Mark Howell, and Billy Burr. Honorary pallbearers include Charles' Sunday School Class. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
