Clay Gossett, 47, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on December 13, 1973, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and was the son of David Bruce and Marjorie Ann (Nettles) Gossett. He was preceded in death by his father, David Gossett. Clay was a loving dad. He was a hard worker who enjoyed life to the fullest. Survivors include his daughter, Jillian Gossett of Piggott, Arkansas; mother, Margie Gossett of Piggott, Arkansas; brothers, Bruce Gossett of Piggott, Arkansas, and David Gossett and wife Tina of Piggott, Arkansas; nieces and nephews, Anna Rice and husband Rob of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Shelby Blascoe and husband Joe of Piggott, Arkansas, Wesley Gossett and wife Cara of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Layne Gossett of Campbell, Missouri; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 24, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Matthew Collier officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
