Cleona Smith, 82, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away June 1, 2019, at Rector Nursing and Rehab in Rector, Arkansas. She was born on February 4, 1937, in Pollard, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lillie (Hollowell) Howell. Cleona was united in marriage to Billy Ray Smith on May 9, 1953. She served her community for twenty-five years as an LPN and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Smith, son, Timothy Ray Smith, daughter, Debra Fay Boyster and son-in-law David Boyster, grandson, Donavon Boyster, sisters, Elsie Dunlap and Deloris Howell. Survivors include her son, Tony and Cindy Smith of Piggott, Arkansas, daughter, Tracey Wright and Allen Underwood of Piggott, Arkansas, daughter-in-law Helen Ruth Smith of Newport, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Jason Boyster officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Boyster, Byron Boyster, Travis Smith, Rusty Smith, Bill Smith, Brad Wright, Kyle Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Underwood, Greydon Boyster. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm in Piggott, Arkansas.
