Curtis Ray Holifield, 75, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away December 15, 2021, at Landmark in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born on October 12, 1946, in Pollard, Arkansas, and was the son of Cecil and Dorothy (Kegley) Holifield.
Curtis was united in marriage to Marjorie (Green) Holifield on October 17, 1964.
Curtis served in the US Army during Vietnam and later retired from the United States Army National Guard as Platoon Sergeant after 23 years of service. He later worked many years as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Joyce Holifield; daughter, Joyce Benson; father, Cecil Holifield; mother, Dorothy Holifield; and infant sister, Marlene Conder.
Curtis is survived by his two sons, David (Mary) Holifield of Steele, Missouri and Neil Holifield; son-in-law, Richard Benson; granddaughter, Tana Benson; brother, Thelbert "Hokie" Holifield of Pocahontas, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas with Bro. Sean Sullivan officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held at Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Honored friends will serve as pallbearers. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at funeral home.
