Curtis Mallard, 80, of Merrillville, Indiana, passed away March 25, 2022, at Spring Mill Nursing Home, in Merrillville, Indiana. He was born on July 5, 1941, in Pollard, Arkansas , and was the son of the late Walter and Altie (Reed) Mallard. Curtis was united in marriage to Shirley (Baker) Mallard on January 5, 1963. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Mallard; son, Christopher C Mallard; daughter, Rebecca Parrish; grandson, Ryan Mallard; father, Walter Mallard; mother, Altie Mallard; three brothers, William Mallard, Robert Mallard, Elbert Mallard; . Curtis is survived by his son, Robert Joseph Mallard of Hebron, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Sarah Benich, Heather Mallard, Riley Mallard, Curtis Mallard, Nathan Parrish, Joshua Parrish, Jacob Parrish; brother, Billy Mallard; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas.Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Tuesday from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas.
