Darrell Lee Burns, 59, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away on August 4, 2026, at his home with his loving wife by his side.

He was born on April 20, 1967, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of Dian (Burns) Wofford and the late Danny Burns. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Gary Wofford.

Darrell was united in marriage to Hope Carpenter on April 24, 2008.

Darrell was happiest spending time with those he loved most. He treasured every moment with his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. He and his brother shared a love for movie trivia and could spend hours talking about their favorite films. Darrell also enjoyed spending time in the shop, where he was always tinkering or working on a project. He loved motorcycles and dreamed of spending more time riding, and he also enjoyed fishing whenever he had the opportunity.

He is survived by his wife, Hope Burns of Piggott; his mother, Dian (Burns) Wofford of Piggott; sons, Josef Burns and wife, Erica, of Piggott and Ethan Burns and wife, Shana, of Piggott, and Baylor Burkman of Piggott; daughters, Brittney Pike and husband, Tyler, of Piggott and Brielle Burkman of Conway; a brother, Delane Burns and wife Tobey of Piggott; grandchildren, Kyle Burns, Lane Burns, Ryker Burns, Bentley Seal, Wilder Burns, Navy Burns, Rowan Burns, Krew Burns, and Kate Pike; along with many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Burns, and his stepfather, Gary Wofford.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Piggott Cemetery with Jerrod Lowe officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Devin Davis, Johnny Rudd, Adam Carpenter, Lance Conley, Kenneth Blackmon, and Scott Carpenter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Burns and Brett Burns.
