David Lee Massey, 61, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away June 8, 2024, at his home.

He was born on November 4, 1962, in Greenway, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Walter "Buck" and Lucille (Fry) Massey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby Joe Massey, Garland Massey, Jerry Allen Massey, Walter Massey; sister-in-law, Dianne Massey; and brother-in-law, Mike Herren.

David was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Arkansas Razorbacks fan. He enjoyed being outside when the weather was warm and fishing. He loved classic rock and those around him could hear him singing often. His children were his world. He was loved by many friends and family members.

David is survived by his son, Brandon Lee Massey of Piggott, Arkansas; daughter, Ambrea Massey of Paragould, Arkansas; siblings: Geneva (Joe) Koehler, Larry (Linda) Massey, Ernie Massey, Betty (Dalas) Hickerson, Billy Ray (Linda) Massey, Gletta Herren, Brenda LeCompt, Linda (Sonny) Setters, and Jerry (Michelle) Massey; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Jerry Massey officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Daniel Massey, Jacob Massey, Aaron Massey, Michael Massey, Walter Massey, Jr., and Josh Collins. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Wednesday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
