David Vaughn Ozier, of Jonesboro, passed away on May 16th at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Glenda, his grandchildren Olivia and Ben Ozier, and daughter-in-law Lisa Ozier Meredith, all of Springdale. David is also survived by his sister in law, June Ozier, of Oxford, Mississippi, as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Vaughn Ozier and Lon Royall Ozier, his son David Mark Ozier, twin daughters, Kathy and Karen Ozier, and brothers, Clinton Ozier and Royall Ozier.
David was born in Boydsville, Arkansas on August 16, 1939. He graduated from Rector High School and was retired after 35 years at E.C. Barton where he served on the Board of Directors and as Vice-President of Credit Management.
David was a member of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro where he served as a deacon and a member of the Men's Fellowship Sunday School Class. David enjoyed hunting, scuba diving, researching ancestry, and most of all trout fishing on the White River.
Under the direction of Hoggard Funeral Home, there will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19 th in the Piggott Cemetery, with Arliss Dickerson officiating.
