Dewey Leroy Haywood, 77, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away March 26, 2021, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. He was born on August 30, 1943, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of Herbert and Neatie (Edwards) Haywood. Leroy was united in marriage to Geraldine Hosea on January 1, 1965. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert E. Haywood; mother, Neatie Haywood; son, Eric Haywood; brothers, Vernon Haywood, Doyne Haywood, and Larry Haywood; sisters, June Thompson, Lorene Staples, Berneda Dees, Thelma Moreland, Betty Perry, Almerita Haywood, and Bonnie Perry. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Haywood of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Mickey Haywood of Piggott, Arkansas; daughter, Angie (John) Barham of Paragould, Arkansas; grandchildren, Dusty Haywood, Joshua Haywood, Alyx Cox, Emily Haywood, Hunter Castleman, Colton Haywood, Rebecca (Morgan) Blessing and Jared Barham; great-grandchildren, Caiden, Maddy, Marshall, and Milly; brothers, Jimmy (Lois) Haywood of St. Charles, Missouri, Jackie (Karen) Haywood of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sister, Roselie Lillyroot of Novi, Michigan; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Kevin Murray officiating. Burial is in Holcomb Cemetery in Pollard, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be grandsons and Travis Baker. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in Piggott, Arkansas.
