Donald Smith, 78, of Kennett, Missouri, passed away February 16, 2022, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Arkansas. He was born on January 16, 1944, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Horace and Flora Copeland Smith. Donald was united in marriage to Carolyn Holland on December 22, 1962. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Jewell Haggerling, Ralph (Elvera) Smith, Mary (Faye) Stokes, Robert (Tommie) Smith, Raymond (Ann) Smith, and Don Smith. Donald is survived by his wife, Carolyn Smith of Kennett, Missouri; daughter, Sarah Sylvest of Kennett, Missouri; two grandsons, Jason Smith of Kennett, Missouri, Jacob (Tabitha) Kinnard of Paragould, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren, Reality Smith, Gage Smith, Katie Kinnard, Kalynn Kinnard; brother, Larry (Vicky) Smith of Piggott, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Kevin Murray officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Derrick Tune, Shawn Barton, Jerry Paul Kinnard, Jacob Kinnard, Jason Smith, and Scotty Moore. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas.
