Obituary

Donna Lea Parks, 66, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away February 28, 2018, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on January 8, 1952, in Joliet, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Orien and Thelma Flowers Coyle. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Thomas, James, Paul, Wayne, and Robert Coyle; and her sister, Anna Jane King. She was a graduate of the Piggott High School Class of 1970 and was very close to her classmates. Many of the kids in town called Donna "Granny." She is survived by her husband James "Jim" Parks of Piggott, Arkansas; son, Clinton Cox and wife Jennifer of Centennial, Colorado; daughter, Amanda "Mindy" McGinnis and husband Carl of Piggott, Arkansas; two stepsons, Jamey Parks of Piggott, Arkansas and Sam Cox of Kentucky; grandchildren: Kaylea Little, Ryker Little, Gage Parks, and James Lee Parks all of Piggott, Arkansas; brothers: Al Coyle and wife Sandra of Phoenix, Arizona, and David Coyle of Savanna, Illinois; sisters: Rose Mary Coyle of Piggott, Arkansas, Kathy Coyle of Piggott, Arkansas, and Norma Williams of Savanna, Illinois; nephews whom were like her brothers: Danny Coyle and wife Marcia and Bobby Coyle, Jr. and wife Kim both of Piggott, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with David Finley officiating. Burial is in Hall Cemetery near St. Francis, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Ryker Little, Jamey Parks, Eric Neeley, Bobby Coyle III, Travis Rodery, Joey Simpson, and Austin Raspberry. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Howell, Johnny Johnson, and members of the Piggott High School Class of 1970. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family suggest memorials be made to the Autism Society or the First Baptist Church of Piggott, Arkansas.
