Doris Jean Johns, 81, of Campbell, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013, in Campbell, Missouri.
She was born on September 20, 1931, in Campbell, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Olen and Eathel Case McFarlin.
She was united in marriage to W.D. 'Dobie' Shelton on May 5, 1950, and to this union two children were born. Dobie preceded her in death on March 29, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her son in 2008, William Dwight Shelton, Jr..
Doris was a member of the Amity Freewill Baptist Church in Niangua, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband, William 'Bill' Johns; her daughter, Debbie Lemarr and husband Richard of Campbell, Missouri; grandchildren: Dustin Lemarr, Darius Lemarr, Darren Lemarr, Jessica Crawford, Wendy Townsend, Stacy McGhee, and Michelle Seabaugh; 9 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Otis McFarlin and wife Marilyn, Edward McFarlin and wife Louise, and Elton McFarlin and wife Donna Sue all of Piggott, Arkansas; sister, Vagel Rodery of Piggott, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Debbie Shelton Burrow; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 3, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mary Chapel's Cemetery near Rector, Arkansas, with J.W. O'Neal officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of arrangements.
