Dorothy Mae Myres Higgins, 78, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away April 23, 2020, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. She was born on January 22, 1942, in Emmet, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Oscar and Elizabeth (Shores) White. Dorothy was united in marriage to James William Myres and he preceded her in death on February 3, 1988. She was preceded in death by her son, James Oscar Myres; brother, Cecil White; sister, Margaret Jackson; and her parents. Survivors include her children, Sarah Janet Runyon and husband Bobby of Piggott, Arkansas, Jackie L. Myres of Rector, Arkansas, Marilyn Elizabeth Frazier and husband Ronald Lee of Corning, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Peggy King of Rector, Arkansas; grandchildren, Michael Ray Myres, William James Lee Myres, Carolyn Elizabeth Myres, Stephanie Golden, Heather Bowman, T.J. Myres, and Jacky Len Myre; great-grandchildren, Serenity Golden, Ricky Golden, Iva Bowman, and Jackson Bowman; nephews, Ricky Myres of Clarkton, Missouri, and Gerald Myres of Nimmons, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. The family will hold private services. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
