Dorothy Wiltfang, 79, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away on April 7, 2024, at Campbell General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, Missouri.
She was born on July 15, 1944, near Crockett, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Crawford McKinley and Minnie Belle(Greene) Benson.
Dorothy loved being mother to "Eddie" and grandmother. After she was married, she would travel to local churches and sing with her husband and friends and was sometimes heard singing on the radio. She also was great at quilting.
Her best friend was her older sister, Jolene, who was always there for her. Her family and friends will dearly miss her.
She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Piggott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Francis Guthrie Wiltfang; her son, Robert Edward Benson; brothers Floyd Lesley Benson, Donald McKinley Benson, and William "Bill" Fredrick Benson; and sisters Jolene Debolt and Ella Mae Benson.
Dorothy is survived by her son, William Edward "Eddie" Wiltfang, and wife, Charitie Wiltfang; grandchildren, William A. Daniel Wiltfang, Sara Wiltfang, and Sir Christian Wiltfang; and many other relatives and friends.
A private graveside ceremony for the son and family was held at Gravel Hill Cemetery in St. Francis, Arkansas, on April 13, 2024.
