Duane Irvin Smith Jr., 40, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away October 17, 2025, along with his fiancé Cristine Sta Ana.

He was born on January 23, 1985, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Duane was a loving father, son and brother. His friends called him 'Lumpy' and 'Shorty.'

Duane and Cristine were to be married on October 29, 2025. He had found his true love with Cristine.

He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Smith of Anchorage, Alaska; grandparents, John Henery and Helen Edwards and Ronnie and Barbara Smith.

Duane is survived by his mother, Virgie Scheffler of Piggott, Arkansas; brother, Jonathan Goodman of Piggott, Arkansas; daughters, E'Lisisa Whitaker and Ma Cristine Florino; sons, Cris Ryan Florino, and John Lucas Florino of Paragould, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Kenny Burns officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm in Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas.
