Edgar "Allen" Nix, 88, of Piggott, Arkansas, formerly of Camden, Arkansas, departed this earth, September 23, 2023, at Piggott HealthCare & Senior Living Center in Piggott, Arkansas.

Mr. Nix was born on January 7, 1935, in Hart's Chapel, Arkansas, and was the son of Edgar and Evie (Huffman) Nix. He grew up in Camden, Arkansas, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a deacon and member of First Christian Church in Camden, Arkansas, prior to moving to Piggott.

On August 21, 1996, he married Delphia Henry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Lucinda (Cindy) Diane Savacool Starnes.

Survivors include his wife, Delphia Nix; his daughter, Cathy Reynolds of Camden, Arkansas; three step-children, Sue Harmon of Piggott, Arkansas, Angela Phillips of Foley, Alabama, and Paul Phillips of Rogerville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Adam Savacool, Caleb Savacool, Samuel Aaron (Kirby) Reynolds, Hannah (Mark) Reynolds, and Micah (Kelly) Reynolds; seven step-grandchildren, Andi (Jon) Cooper, Doug (Lisa) Harmon, Amanda Myhre, Bayley Walls, Braden Walls, Paige Phillips, and Laura Phillips; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lou Smith and Betty Jane Means both of Houston, Texas; the mother of his children, RuthAnn Yarbro Nix of Camden, Arkansas; son-in-law, Ricky Starnes of Paragould, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.

Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the cremation arrangements. Interment will be in Hart's Chapel Cemetery in Arkadelphia at a later date.
