Edward Harmon, 82, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away June 4, 2026, at Brookridge Cove Nursing Home in Morrilton, Arkansas.

He was born on July 20, 1943, in Nimmons, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Charlie and Mary (Ridgeway) Harmon.

Ed served in the United States Army stationed for a time in Germany and honorably discharged in 1966. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching the horse races in Hot Springs. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Wilford Harmon, Billy "Bud" Harmon, Bob Harmon, Lois Harmon, Lester Harmon, Mary Beth Tikkanen, Fannie Belle Frazier, Don Harmon, and Carl Harmon.

Ed is survived by his two brothers, Thomas Earl (Sharon) Harmon of Kennett, Missouri and Delaine (Sharlene) Harmon of Canton, Michigan; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Janice Harmon of Nimmons, Arkansas, Louise Harmon Taylor of Nimmons, Arkansas, and Betty Harmon of Paragould, Arkansas; special friends, Jerry Hayre and Tracy Huffmire.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas. A private family burial will be held at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas, at a later time. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
