Obituary

Erma Dean Campbell, 71, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born on August 16, 1948, in Piggott, Arkansas, and was the daughter of the late Branson "Speck" and Virginia Lee Davis Carman. Erma was united in marriage to William "Bill" Campbell on June 30, 1995, and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2002. She was preceded also preceded in death by her son, Robert Allen Boyd; grandson, Brady Boyd; two brothers, Edmond Davis and Elton Davis; and sister, Carolyn Featherston. Erma was very active in the Special Olympics. She was a previously a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas and was currently a member of Barcelonia Road Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Survivors include her son, Wesley Boyd and her daughter, Laiken Boyd both of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; stepchildren: William Scott Campbell and Kenneth Shawn Campbell; grandchildren, Jessy Crawford of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Nicole Crow and husband Spencer of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, Clayton Boyd of Heflin, Louisiana, Blevin Boyd of Palestine, Arkansas, Ashley Wright of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Briannah Jones of Hot Springs, Arkansas; eight great grandchildren: Kanbry Staggs, Allie Staggs, Jay'von Darty, Cash Veasley, Skyler Darty, Maiara Talbott, Jakota Darty, and Josie Veasley; brother, Larry Davis and wife Sandra of Piggott, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 1, 2019, at 3:30 p.m. at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas, with Bro. Robert Gunnels officiating and Bro. Mike Book assisting. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Spencer Crow, Clayton Boyd, James Featherston, Larry Davis, Alan Morris, and Joey Herrington. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Special Olympics.
