Ermagene George, 92, of Greenway, Arkansas, passed away September 22, 2025, at her home in Greenway, Arkansas.

She was born on May 16, 1933, and was the daughter of Willie and Lela (Meade) Johnson.

Ermagene was united in marriage to Hal George on March 28, 1953.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Tillman Johnson; mother, Lela Johnson; husband, Hal W. George; Two Grandchildren, William Charles Johnson, Jr., and Kimberly Wilburn; three brothers, Bub Johnson, Bob Johnson, and Jack Johnson; sister, Betty George.

Ermagene was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, garden, fish, and travel. Most of all she loved God and her church.

Ermagene is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Ann (Bobby) Preusser of Greenway, Arkansas and Ava Jo (Jim) Wilburn of Greenway, Arkansas; Five Grandchildren, Melanie Dawn Bloom, Autumn Elizabeth Preusser, Michael Wilburn, Heath Wilburn, and April Gilbow; eight great-grandchildren, Kelsey Wagster, Sydney Johnson, Hunter Wilburn, Rylee Wilburn, Kason Gilbow, Karlee Gilbow, Remi Wilburn, and Reagan Wilburn; sister, Brenda Cato of Greenway, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas, with Bro. Tim McCluskey officiating. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
